November 6, 2015 marks the Fire District's 25th anniversary as a Fire District. In 1990, local voters overwhelmingly approved Proposition W, which established the Chino Valley Fire District. Members of the Chino Firemen's Association spearheaded the Proposition W Campaign in forming partnerships with the community and individuals, like Former Chino Mayor Fred Aguiar and Former San Bernardino County Supervisor Larry Walker, to help support the cause. The result of the 1990 election reflected the hard work and perseverance of many individuals working together for a greater cause. The efforts of those involved established the Fire District and were the catalyst for the foundation of exceptional service that has been provided to the community for the last quarter century.
