Ryan was raised in La Verne and went to Damien High School. He attended Fresno State University and received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2002. He currently resides in Corona with his wife Holly and their three daughters; Whitley, Riley, and Reagan.
Ryan was hired as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Fire District on January 22, 2007. He has been an active member of the Fire District and has served on the Homeland Security Committee, Emergency Medicine Committee, and the Wellness Committee.
Ryan is a Hazardous Materials Specialist and a Terrorism Liaison Officer. He is also an Outreach Instructor for the California Sate Training Institute-Hazmat and is a member of the Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care Hazmat and a member of the Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Defense Group.
Ryan is currently a member of the Fire District's Fire Control 3 Training Cadre, the Honor Guard, the Hazmat Team Training Cadre, and a member of the Firefighter Safety & Survival Cadre.
Award and Service
Ryan was selected as Firefighter of the Year by his peers based on his exceptional work ethic this past year. Ryan has demonstrated a strong dedication to public safety and has a passion for Emergency Medicine. Ryan is an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Instructor and a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Instructor. He is a member of the American Heart Association Regional Faculty for California and Nevada and is also a member of the American Heart Association Training Center Faculty.
Ryan is currently assigned to Fire Station 67 "C" shift in the city of Chino.
